1963 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible

This removable hard top/soft-top convertible was the first "Sting Ray".
Following the 1962 last of the solid axle models, the new design heralded a concern for aerodynamics ahead of its time.
With 340 hp from 327 ci this true American sports car normally carbureted (not fuel injected) was a reliable rocket with its factory Hurst 4spd manual transmission, white sidewall tires and spinner steel wheels. This Ferrari red looker was actually designed by Arkus Duntov to compete against Ferrari on the world's racing stage.
The twin cockpit design replicated the jet fighter aircraft of the day.
